The purpose of the FIM Alumni Association is to support current students and stay in touch across cohorts: every event should inspire and connect.
FIM Alumni Event 2025
As tradition demands by now, we celebrated our annual alumni event in Café Reitschule. We looked back at what happened since the last event - events, scholarships, changes in the study program,... - and looked ahead at what’s coming - the new cohort that just started, future events, a new focus on the start-up and VC ecosystem, and so much more to come. A great evening to celebrate the FIMily, catch up with old faces, and get to know new ones.
Freshers' Week 2025
We warmly welcomed the 20th cohort to our FIMily with a Bavarian breakfast at Trachtenvogl, a little introduction to the FIM alumni association, and a bar night to finish off the Freshers’ week. We are very much looking forward to getting to know the people behind the new cohort and welcome them into our community.
FIM Start-up Pitching Night 2025
The FIM start-up pitching night showed the power of the FIM community: bringing together alumni, students, and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and spark collaboration. Eight out of currently 19 FIM start-ups pitched their business - from organic brewery to prop tech and HR to anti-money laundering and process intelligence 🌍🤝
Bar Night
Almost 20 alumni across various cohorts gathered for a relaxed evening with pizza and drinks. A great chance for everyone to catch up with old friends or meet new alumni and current students in a super casual setting.
Career Event 2025
At the career event, alumni from a variety of companies shared their experiences and advice with current students. Topics ranged from consulting to start-ups to academic careers. Afterwards, we had lively discussions, experiences were shared, and we gave a lot of opportunities for networking.
Frühlingsfest 2025
Just like the last years, Munich’s Frühlingsfest was a great place to celebrate together and make friends across cohorts.
Ski Trip 2025
Despite the fact that the bus was not in the mood to get up early in the morning and drive us to Garmisch, we still made it to the skiing area. The weather was perfectly sunny and we spent a great day on the slopes together.
Christmas Market
Together with the alumni of the elite study program Software Engineering, we visited the christmas market at Viktualienmarkt. It was great to get to know new faces from outside the FIM universe and learn about career paths in related study programs.
FIM Alumni Event 2024
This year’s alumni event was special: we celebrated the 20th anniversary of our study program. We looked back at the early beginnings together with the “founding fathers” of our program, got insights about study and work life of various alumni across cohorts, and celebrated the great community we have within the FIMily. Definitely a memorable evening within the history of our alumni events.
Ski Trip 2024
We took advantage of the lecture-free period with a skiing trip to Garmisch, where alumni and students gathered for a sun-filled day on the slopes. The trip brought together skiers of different skill levels—from experienced skiers to first-time beginners—and allowed everyone to enjoy the mountain views and create memories together.
